Globalization
Cultural Geography
What is globalization?
Globalization is a process of interaction and integration among the people, companies, and governments of different nations, a process driven by international trade and investment and aided by information technology.
Globalization in China
The population of China is 1.3 billion.
China's Culture
China is a communist state so there is no specific religion as most people in China say they have no religion or claim to be an atheist. For an official language they speak Pŭtōnghuà but many people there are also fluent in English. For food one of the main styles of Chinese cooking is Cantonese which has stir-fried dishes, and Sezchuan, which relies heavily on use of peanuts, sesame paste and ginger and is known for its spiciness. Tea is the most common thing to drink. In their art many sculptures and paintings show spiritual figures from Buddhism. A common instrument is the xun which is like a flute. China was the birthplace of kung fu. In the country's liturgical history it has had dedicated writers and philosophers. As a custom an a celebration they have the Spring Festival which they look at as the mark of a new beginning.
Technology in China
They got more advanced technology due to that they are one of the oldest and ancient civilizations and they had more people and they had minds that were good for technology.
China's Economy
China's economy is a good one most due to their production agreement with the United States. They produce things for other countries but that is where the most profit for the country comes from. If that was not enough it is a big help to their economy that jobs here in America are getting outsourced to countries like China.
The Environment in China
China has an awful environment. It has even taken its toll on the economy there. It resembles a nuclear winter even slowing photosynthesis in plants and it is potentially wreaking havoc on the country's food supply. The people there cannot even breath in peace without a mask on at all times. The air pollution is so bad that it has even grounded flights.

My Product
My product may have been made in China but it used materials from other countries to make it.
Globalization Problems
Due to the transfer of goods from China to the United States problems could be made. Culture could be affected if there were disagreements because it could grow into a war and that could change everything. Technology could get problems if they were to send us something like faulty phones. Our economy could get worse if they didn't make quality products because nobody would buy them making for a worse economy. The environment could change if we were to get oil from China and it wasn't good for the environment that could be disastrous.
Globalization Solutions
The culture could be fixed if they would watch over what they do with the product handling. The technology could be fixed if there were to be a department in America of the company that made the phones so they could fix them. The economy could be fixed if the amount of money the workers in China get paid were to increase that way they would have an added incentive to work harder. The environment could get fixed if we were to clean the oil ourselves after we got it.
Map Statements
Technology is rapidly increasing. Population is slowly increasing due to the law that every family can only have one baby. China is a big country.
My Hypothesis
China will evolve faster than most other countries.
How the Product Got to My Home
First the company in China collected materials to make it. Then they manufactured it in their company in China. Then it got shipped overseas to America. It got transferred to a store. I bought it and brought it home with me.
Patterns with Globalization
A pattern with globalization for me is what products stores have available and what their price is.
Good and Bad Effects of Globalization
A good effect is that it has given me and everybody else different experiences. A bad effect is how they outsource jobs to China making for less jobs here in America.
How Globalization Affects My Life
Globalization makes it so prices for items are lower than they would be if those items were made in America. It is bad because it affects incomes of jobs sometimes, partly due to outsourcing of jobs.
