Welcome Back

I hope everyone had a wonderful break. So many of you traveled to amazing places and others enjoyed spending time at home---regardless, I hope you all had a restful and fun week.

Jason, Kelly and I will be busy completing evaluations and summatives on all our Beginning Teachers as well as getting ready for Leadership Day. It is going to be a fun, busy and exciting two weeks. Please let us know if you need us for anything.

I am dealing with several delicate issues that involve WCPSS attorneys and Human Resources. I will be behind closed doors or on the phone for most of the morning and may need to leave campus to go to Central Office. Please let me know if you need anything.

Alana Golden will be back today. We are so happy to have her back with us. As many of you know, Alana was the 5th grade student that had a tree fall on her earlier this year.

Please join me in making sure Alana feels special today.

Please take advantage of staying on top of everything from classroom instruction, classroom environment to patios, outside areas, hallway displays, etc…so that we are not overwhelmed next week.

There will not be a staff meeting today.

Congratulations to Kari! She’s having a baby!

Thursday morning at 9:00, we will hold the Math Bee Awards Assembly for students that participated in the second round (in the cafeteria). Due to the number of students that we will be recognizing, we will not be able to accommodate whole classes or students that did not participate in the second round. Please send participating students to the gym at 8:50. If you have any questions, please see Kelly.

Please remember that Lesson Plan blurbs for leadership day are due to Juley by Wednesday, April 6th. Hallway displays should be complete by the end of the school day on Friday, April 8th.

There is a Cultural Arts assembly on Wednesday, April 6th. The Legacy Dance Company will be here and demonstrate the 7 Movements of Dancing, followed by a classical variation ballet piece and performance of pieces from The Little Mermaid. Please see the Cultural Arts Assembly schedule here for coverage schedule. Classroom teachers are asked to eat lunch with their classes on Cultural Arts Days.

PLTs should plan to meet in the media center during your extended PLT time on Wednesday!
