SCHOOL HOURS
8:00 am – Breakfast Available in the Cafeteria- Students Enter Door #6
8:15 am – Playground Opens- Students Enter Door #6
8:30 am – First Bell Rings- After 8:30 All Students and Parents Must Enter through the Front Entrance Door #1 All Other Doors Will Be Locked
8:35 am – School Begins (Students must be in their seat, ready to learn)
3:30 pm – Dismissal -
Walkers will exit out of Door #1
Kindergarten students will exit out Door #6 starting at 3:25
Parent pickups will exit out Door #6
School Attendance: Please call the office by 9:00 am if your child will be absent. Call anytime
to leave a voicemail. Absences will be marked unexcused if no phone call/parent note is
received by the office.
Please provide a doctor/dental slip for student appointments to be recorded as an excused
medical absence.
SCHOOL SAFETY
For the safety of students and staff, all entrances of Thomas Jefferson will be locked throughout the day. In the morning door 6 is unlocked from 8:00-8:30 for students to enter for breakfast. Parents if you need to talk to staff in the front office please go around to door 1 to enter the building.
Visitors who arrive during the instructional day will be able to enter the building in the
vestibule area by Door 1. At that point, visitors must press the intercom button to speak to the
school staff. Please state your reason for visiting the school.
For security reasons, visitors must sign in and obtain a visitor's badge at the office. If you have
questions, please contact the main office at 715-261-0175
Conferences
Here are the conference dates for the 2019-2020 school year. In a few weeks you will be receiving information regarding scheduling for our November dates through PTCfast.com.

In addition to these dates, we have Monday, September 30, 3:30 – 7:30 pm, scheduled as teacher check-in time. This will be an invite from the classroom teacher to parents who missed Open House or to parents that the classroom teacher would like to meet with.
Safety Patrol of the Week Kylie K.
This week’s featured safety patrol is Kylie K. Kylie is not only a 5th grade student in Mrs. Davidson’s classroom but she is also one of our patrol captains. This job means she is responsible for helping the patrols on her week to do their job safely and responsibly. Kylie’s favorite subjects are writing, reading, art and PE/music. When she is not at school, Kylie enjoys riding her bike, climbing on rocks and watching movies. Kylie says she enjoys being on safety patrol because she likes to help people and she loves being outside. Thanks for your service, Kylie!

After school Programs and Boys and Girls Club
Boys & Girls Club stops at Thomas Jefferson daily to pick up 4th and 5th graders who have signed up. If your interested please contact the Boys & Girls Club directly at 715 845-2582/ or Lisa Carroll at 715 261-0180

Parents-
Just a reminder, volunteer opportunities will be posted online throughout the year. Please sign up online and not just with the teaching staff. This keeps everyone accounted for and safe that is in our building.

Remember, volunteering in the classroom and going on field trips requires a criminal background check. Complete Step 2 if you plan on this type of volunteerism. They do take time to process so please plan ahead.
