From Mrs. Lewis...
- Please be reminded that Faculty Meetings will be held on the 1st Monday of the month this year. Mark your calendar for faculty meeting dates to avoid conflicts: 9/10, 10/1, 11/5, 12/3, 1/7, 2/4, 3/4, 4/1, 5/6.
Teachers, Please check the restrooms before your students go in. Students are starting to place paper towels in the toilet causing it to overflow. We have already had this happen on two different grade levels.
Do not forget to sign up for your game duty if you have not already. You will be assigned to a duty if you have not signed up by September 3, 2018. See Mr. Dunham if you have any questions. Teachers please be at your door when receiving students. Elective teachers should be prepared to receive a grade level by greeting them in the hallway.
Friendly Dental Van will be here on Wednesday, September 5.
If you have been given a copy of a 504 plan for a student in your classes, please sign the top page indicating you have received the plan. Once you have signed, please return the signature sheet only to Mrs. Snell. This is necessary to ensure proper compliance. If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Snell

All student forms should be submitted to the front office, complete with a student rosters to show which students have submitted paperwork. Teachers should strive for 100%. Submit by Friday, Sept 7.

Lesson Plans should be submitted by each Sunday evening. See Estella Johnson if you have questions.
On Monday, September 10 is Grandparent's Day. Students can eat breakfast with their Grandparent in the Media Center. 7:45 - 8:30.
There will be a back to school SOCK HOP (Students wear funky socks) on Thursday, September 6. Each grade level chair should submit the name of at least teacher to help with supervision. $3 admission and concessions will be available. Please submit names to Mrs. Lewis by Tues, 9/4.
Rules and consequences should be posted in ALL classrooms by Friday, September 7.
The football team, Project Move, Band and Cheerleaders are participating in the Scotland High School homecoming parade on September 28. Does any other group want to participate? See Mrs. Lewis.
Department Chairs, be reminded to meet with your subject teams.
Bring your computer and be logged into True North Logic for our first PLC on Tuesday. Training sign off and PDP info will be provided, as well. PDPs are due on Wed, 9/12. This will be a planning for setting goals, reviewing data and making plans.

Sunshine Committee Updates
Thank you to Mrs. Spencer for agreeing to lead the Sunshine Committee. Dues to come $20.
- A big Congratulations to Mrs. Janet Jacobs for being selected SCS's Support Person of the Year AND Mr. Edward Cain for being selected SCS's Teacher Asst of the Year! Spring Hill represented BIG.
- We were proud of our Spring Hill Reps at convocation Javion David, Mr. Dunham and Mrs. Spencer! Great job!
- Please keep Mrs. Covington in your prayers (8th grade EC Teacher) as she recovers from surgery and endures another procedure.
- Shout out to Jamie Bream and Julie Allen for helping to plan the PBIS Kick Off Event on Friday.
- Channel 15 has contacted Ms. Grady to do a feature on her classroom makeover. More information to come....
Classroom Safety
Please remember: NO combustible materials are allowed on doors. Doors should have nothing on the outside or the inside of the door ( this includes, but is not limited to decorative wreaths).
If you need a fire evacuation routes poster for your room, please email Ms. Brayboy immediately. These should be posted on the inside of each classroom in clear view when exiting classroom. They are required by the Fire Inspector.
Make sure there is a red card on your classroom safety clipboard for lockdowns (Code Blue). This should be kept near the classroom door.
NO extension cords are to be used in classrooms. Please use power strips as needed. Plug-in air fresheners are NOT allowed in class rooms or offices. Space heaters are also prohibited and nothing can be hung or suspended from a classroom ceiling or hallway ceiling.
