Swansboro Middle and High School
Community Mentors
Swansboro Middle and High School will be partnering with the Swansboro/Hubert/Cape Carteret communities to connect at-risk students to adult mentors. Mentors are trusted adults who have been screened and trained to provide encouragement to students who have been identified as at-risk. Mentoring can include weekly calls or text messages checking on students and encouraging positive choices, an occasional lunch or coffee, etc.
Mentors will agree to participate in:
- A background check that includes fingerprinting
- Completion of a one hour training
