No Hassle! Order School Supplies NOW for 2016-2017 DCMS Students!

Gone are the days of going from store to store to be sure to get specific items from a school supply list. What a relief!

Complete the attached order form by May 20th or go online to to order your school supplies for the 2016-2017 school year for the low price of $45.

If you order online, enter the school ID, DAN091 (3 letters/3 numbers) and follow the directions to complete your order. Keep your online confirmation as your receipt.

Pre-ordered school supplies will be available for you or your student on August 3, 2016 at DCMS Registration Day from noon to 8 PM. Supplies can go straight to school lockers that day.

Transition Life Skills Class

Our Transition Life Skills Class has been approved for Kroger Community Rewards Program. Kroger is committed to giving back to the communities they serve and now we're included.

Simply go and register or edit your account settings. Our number is 53540! By registering your Kroger Plus card a portion of your purchases will be donated to us. Don't worry you will continue to get your fuel points and other savings!

With this money we receive I plan to grow an account for our community outings and classroom supplies!

DCSC Hiring Substitutes!

DCSC will be hiring substitutes over the summer for the 2016-2017 school year. A non-certified application can be printed off of our website or picked up at the Administration Office.

We expect to have openings for substitute teachers, aides, bus drivers, cafeteria staff, and nurses. These positions are very flexible and follow the school calendar with breaks and summers off! For further information, contact Charlotte Binkley at 745-2212.

Online Summer Reading Skills Program

This summer, the folks at the Community Learning Network at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) are offering reading skills and speed reading programs for preschoolers through 10th graders. These individualized programs include online instruction, independent reading and support from a reading teacher. The program design and instruction are provided by the Institute of Reading Development.

Middle School PTO News


It is election time once again at Danville Community Middle School for our 2016-2017 board for PTO (formerly known as DPSS). Elections has been moved to Monday August 29th at 3:30PM in the Middle School Conference Room. Please plan to attend to vote! We also need YOU on the board. Please send your nominations for yourself or your friend, to to have the name added to the ballot. We need to elect a President, Vice-President, Secretary and Treasurer. PTO is an excellent way to get involved in your child's school. Email if you need more details on the positions or what PTO does or speak to a current board member. We NEED YOU in order for PTO to continue to be successful in helping our teachers help our kiddos. Don't wait for someone else to step up and take action. YOU step up and make it happen for your kiddos school.


PTO will need a new box tops/labels coordinator for the 2016-2017 school year. Great way to volunteer for your child's school in the comfort of your own home! Great job for stay at home moms, aunts, grandmas, anyone with a few extra hours a couple times a year. Box tops/labels has 2 contests a year so you will be adding up those labels and submitting them to Box Tops and Campbell's two times a year. Not to hard! Email if interested.

SCHOOL SUPPLIES for 2016-2017

PTO is pleased to announce that your school supplies for next school year can be pre-purchased through us! We will be selling prepackaged school supply kits for $45! No need to shop in the stores any longer! We can make it very simple for you! The supply kits can be ordered online or with an order form. Order form orders will be due May 20 and online orders are due June 10. Kits will be picked up at the school registration night. Order forms will be coming home soon! Watch the Way Cry for details too.
