Required Information
Explain how the sun and other stars transform matter into energy through nuclear fusion.
Investigate the process by which a supernova can lead to the function of successive generation stars and planets.
Analyze how gravitational condensation of solar nebular gas and dust can lead to the accretion of planetesimals and protoplanets.
How To:
You and your group will be creating a news report from outer space.
You will be visiting the life cycle of a star. In each stage of the star's life cycle, you will need to explain the composition of the star (what it's made of - elements, etc), where it gets its energy from, how long its in each stage, brightness, color, temperature, and how it gets to its next stage in its life cycle. Be sure to share the name of the star you're visiting and where it's located.
Be creative! Dress up & use props if you can! The more creative you are the better your grade will be.
Step by Step Instructions
Step 1: Research each star you will visit on your news report.
Pick one path of a star's life cycle. Use your knowledge, research, and graphic above.
Step 2: Decide which group member will report from point in the star's life cycle.
Divide up the work amongst your group. Who will be the newscaster? Who will report from a protostar, etc?
Step 3: Create a script with all of your research and required information.
Much like a script for a play, write each group member's name down beside what they will say. This will help you when you're recording.
Step 4: Save pictures (large quality) of each star to have as your background image when you record with the Green Screen.
When you google an image, for example, a Protostar, click "image" then "tools" and then under the word "size", select large.
Step 5: Record your videos in DoInk.
Use the link below if you're not familiar with this app. It has a guided tutorial.
Step 6: Pull those videos into Clips or iMovie and edit your video.
Now it's time for your video to come together! Use one of these programs below to pull your videos into a video editor. Add sound effects, transitions, captions, etc! Be creative!
Step 7. Turn in your final project.
When you're finished and your project has ALL of the required information, turn it in below. Be sure to note who is in your group. Only one person will need to turn it in.
