Round Trip Folders

Please make sure you are checking your child's "Round Trip" folder daily. Please take anything out that should be kept at home. I've had a lot of folders returned with work from the day before. Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks!

Snack/Water Bottles

Just a reminder to be sending a snack with your child daily. We have snack later in the afternoon. If you are having difficulty providing snack for your child please let me know and we can make accommodations:)

The students drink water often throughout the day. Please send a water bottle with your child daily. I do have small cups if your child forgets a day.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Big picture

Unclaimed Water Bottle

This water bottle has been in our classroom and has not left. None of the students say it is theirs, however, I am pretty sure one may not know. If it is your child's please let me know. Thanks so much!

Book Orders

Book Orders will be due this upcoming Tuesday September 20th. Flyers were sent him in your child's Round Trip folder the first week of school. This is a great opportunity to get books in your child's hands and earn points for our classroom!

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Absence

I wanted to let you know that next Thursday September 22nd and Friday September 23 the students will have a sub. I will be getting my wisdom teeth out, UGH! (NOT looking forward to it!). Mrs. White will be our sub on Thursday and Mrs. Jensen will be our sub on Friday.

I will be going through expectations next week. If you remember, please remind your child as well. Thanks so much!

What did we learn this week?

Reading: We talked a lot about "Jackson Pride" and read books about being respectful, responsible, positive and safe.

Phonics: We learned the poem "Good Morning To You." This poem began to allow us to learn our friends name in class.

Math: We explored many kinds of math manipulatives that we will be using throughout the year.

*We have also had the opportunity for "extra recess" each day as we build our stamina to learn. The students have had a lot of fun on the playground and in the classroom exploring fun things and making new friends!
