MBS Memo

What a Bash!
Our energies are now focused upon year-end activities. For the next two weeks our 3-8 graders will be taking the Smarter Balanced State tests. We schedule these tests to assure students are comfortable and are not overwhelmed. We ask for your help in making sure your children arrive on time to school, get plenty of sleep and a good breakfast daily.
State test results provide a snapshot of your child's achievement relative to grade-level Common Core State Standards. You receive a report later in the year that provides information about your child's areas of strength and areas to support. This test provides our school with important information on how effective our program is at providing your children with the best instruction possible.

An analogy that comes to mind is CPR training--we hope we never have to use it, but feel better in knowing that we have some basic skills should we ever need them -- and the more people who are trained, the better chances that there will be someone who can help if an event occurs.
Please click on the document below to learn about a free training for parent/guardians. We encourage you to attend this free online training.
