Have You Signed up for OneRun?
The 3rd annual District-wide OneRun fundraiser will be held at the Greater Des Moines Botanical Garden on Saturday, September 24th, with check-in between 8:00-8:45 a.m. The event is a 2-mile fun run/walk with an option to cheer on the sidelines as a supporter! Registration is free for everyone; participation is what will count.
Event fees will be paid by corporate and individual sponsors. Once participation totals are tallied, the money raised will be sent directly to the schools. Each participant may designate one school. The more participants and donations, the more money to the schools!

Notes from Nurse Sandy
If your child is ill or not feeling well, please keep them home. Parents should not send their child to school if he or she:
- has a fever of 100.4 degrees or more. The student should stay home for 24 hours after the temperature returns to normal (98.6 degrees F) without fever-reducing medication;
- has vomited or had diarrhea or unexplained abdominal pain. The student should stay home until 24 hours after the last episode;
- has a rash that may be disease-related or from an unknown cause;
- has swelling, redness, tenderness, or discharge from eyes;
- has a severe cold and/or persistent cough;
- has tested positive for a communicable disease (i.e. Covid-19, influenza, etc.)
Parents are asked to call the school when their child is going to be tardy or absent. If your child has tested positive for a communicable disease, please contact your school nurse to determine when your child may return to school.
Good handwashing, eating healthy foods, staying hydrated, getting plenty of rest, getting daily exercise, and staying up to date on immunizations will help to keep your family and our community healthy!
Dismissal
If a change needs to be made to a dismissal plan for your child(ren), call the office before 2:00 pm. Please do not email teachers or administration with these changes. We cannot guarantee that email will be read before dismissal time.
Parents are asked to assist with dismissal procedures by making certain that children are clear about dismissal plans before they enter school each morning.
