Calling All MO Retired Principals
Announcing new opportunities to reconnect with MoASSP
80 Retired Principals & Growing
Hello Retired Missouri Principal,
On behalf of the Missouri Association of Secondary School Principals, thanks for choosing to stay active with your association. We value your continued support of MoASSP. Because of the legendary leadership of Bob Howe, John Glore, Jim King, and Phil Lewis, MoASSP is one of the strongest secondary principal associations in the country.
The MoASSP staff is in the process of reconnecting with retired principals around the state. Currently, we have eighty retired principals who have either a lifetime membership (one time fee of $112) or pay their dues ($34) annually. Please help us pass the word to colleagues around the state who are no longer employed full-time in education and encourage them to reconnect with MoASSP.
We have a few exciting new opportunities that might entice our retired colleagues to join MoASSP once again. MoASSP is about ready to announce some exciting news for our membership, spouses, and dependents. Benefits, such as discount dining, travel, and supplemental insurance at special group rates along with numerous merchant discounts will be provided to MoASSP members, spouses, and dependents. These benefits will also be available to retired administrators who have a retired membership or lifetime retired membership. Stay tuned.
From time to time, we receive phone calls from central office administrators asking for sub principals. If you are interested in being a sub-principal, let us know. You can email Katy or call the office at 573-445-5071.
Fall & Spring Conference Opportunities
We do have a handful of retired administrators visit either the fall or spring conference. They attend to socialize, stay in touch with colleagues, eat a Josten's steak, or maybe play a round of golf. Doug and I have thought about how we might add unique opportunities for retired administrators at future conferences.
Please feel free to share this email with a retired colleague or two. I have included a membership link below. If you are in Columbia, feel free to drop by the office. You can find our contact information below.
"MoASSP continues to need you."
