Families in Need....we're here to help.
During these trying economic times, it seems like more families are finding it hard to make ends meet. If your family is in need of a little help during this holiday season and would like support, please email the counseling team. All information will be kept confidential. It is not guaranteed that all families will receive assistance, but we will try our best to help as many families as possible (depending on the response and level of need). Arrival Reminder
As the weather changes (cold, snow, ice, etc.) we want to remind you that our arrival procedure and times will not change.
The south doors close promptly at 8:44 am. If you are pulling into the parking lot at 8:43am or later, please pull around to the front of the building. The cone may be put out earlier than 8:44am, but students may still enter the building up to 8:44am when the doors will close. This allows students to get to their class on time and our staff members to their first assignment by 8:45am as well.
If you know you are running late, please come to the front of the building to have your student check in through the office. Thank you for your help!
Thinking Cap Quiz Bowl Contest Results
Several Robert Martin Elementary fifth grade students competed in the Thinking Cap Quiz Bowl Contest on Friday, November 10th. The contest is a self-scoring, computer contest of 100 multiple-choice questions to be answered by the group.
Areas covered included math, geography, government, sports, spelling, science, literature, English, history, general information, and just plain fun trivia. Several students selected the team’s answers on the computer, while the others read through the questions and answers as quickly as possible. Each question offered two chances to answer correctly. Points were awarded based on how fast the question was answered by the group, as well as how accurate. No adult assistance was given!
The team of fifth grade students scored a total of 1000 points with 85% accuracy. They earned 4th place in Andover (out of 6 teams) and 16th place in the Nationwide competition against 54 other 5th grade teams.
The 2023 Fall Thinking Cap Quiz Bowl team members include: Trey S., Jin-Sup S., Carter W., Parker K., Nabhan C., Brooklynn G., Carter M., Titus A., Brek L., Henry T., Joel T., and Addie L.
Congratulations to the team for all their hard work!!!
