Literacy Workstations at Rocketship Mosiac

Brains are sweating, at ROMO, during literacy workstations. Not only is there lots of independent reading going on but their word word tasks require students to identify, read, and write. Way to go!

Reading A-Z Passages

We have uploaded more Reading A-Z passages with open response questions. On Box you can now find passages all the way through STEP 6-10.

These are great for homework and literacy workstations. Check them out!

Phonics and Comprehension Passages for TK - G1 teachers

Looking for passages for students to read during your phonics lessons or literacy work stations?

We have now started uploading passages for each sound spelling pattern, aligned to the kinder and 1st grade phonics SSM, onto Box. You can find them here!

There are additional comprehension passages that can be used for literacy workstations or howework. We will continue to upload more. While the majority are uploaded in the G1 folder many are appropriate for Kinder or G2.

Teacher Professional Development Retention Fund

Have you been at Rocketship for at least two full years? Are you interested in some external professional development opportunities?

If this is the case you may want to consider the Teacher Professional Development Fund. Check out this document to see if you meet the eligibility requirements and discuss next steps with your coach.

Money from this fund may be used for professional development opportunities such as the Teachers College Reading and Writing Summer Institute. If you are interested in attending the summer institute make sure you talk with you coach.

March 3rd - Read Across America

Celebrate Dr. Seuss's birthday by participating in many of the Reading Across America activities. This is a great opportunity to remind students not only how fun reading can be but also how unifying. We would love to see photos of how you celebrate and share your love of reading!
