Important Information
ALL STAFF MEETING:
We will have our next All Staff Meeting on Monday, May 4th @ 8:00 AM. Here is the MEETING ZOOM LINK, which is also linked in the CMMS building calendar.
GRADING & PROGRESS REPORTS:
The grading window for posting your progress reports grades opens May 7th, and closes May 13th. Please make sure that you have read through this GRADING DOCUMENT as this is the grading scale that must be used by everyone and reflected on progress reports. We will review this information at our staff meeting.
ATTENDANCE and NON-ENGAGERS:
CLICK HERE TO VIEW THE New Non-Engager List with notes using New Attendance Data.
Now that our attendance data replaces our non-engager spreadsheet, we have added the "NOTES" you previously entered in the old sheet and placed them into the New Non-Engager List. Please continue to update these notes as we continue to reach out to the students who have yet to fully or partially engage. We have organized the data by Advisory Teacher (alpha by first names) and then student (alpha by last name) to make it easy to navigate. For any other staff searching for students, you can type "COMMAND F" and search by student last or first name. We hope this will be an added layer of support for these students, contact Paul with any questions or concerns. We will continue to update this data and monitor the progress over time highlighting our herculean efforts to engage ALL students!

Student Recognition
Check out all the ways to recognize students for working hard and staying connected!!!
- Student of the Month: Awards for our March/April Math and History Students of the Month will be sent virtually this week and through the mail on Friday!
- "Your Name in Lights": Names will be added to the reader board from staff and families submitting names. Please submit names using THIS STUDENT KUDOS FORM!
- Trimester 2 Awards: Please complete this Trimester Awards Google Form Link to recognize 3 (or more if you'd like) students per teacher for displaying characteristics that are Safe, Respectful, Responsible, Working Hard, ALL Cougar Pride or Most Improved. THIS DOCUMENT POPULATES THE AWARDS DIRECTLY SO PLEASE SPELL THE STUDENTS' NAMES ACCURATELY, it would also be great if you capitalized both your name and the students' names correctly as well (ex: Mrs.Corpuz, NOT Corpuz or corpuz or britney corpis or BRITTANY CORPUZ). We will recognize these students at the Virtual Award Assemblies (TBD). Please complete this form by Friday, May 8th, 2020. Let us know if you have any questions!
Kudos Cougars
From Mrs. Gillingham to Mrs. Fosdeck:
Thank you for making making arrangements and checking out numerous hotspots to kids!
From Mrs. Vanderwood to Mr. Melchert:
Greg makes Zoom meetings fantastic! He makes each student feel welcomed and cared for. The positive personality that Greg has as he moderates our Zoom meetings keeps students engaged and coming back!
From Brit and Paul to ALL STAFF:
Thank you all for your hard work this year, both in a typical setting and during this challenging time!!! We appreciate each and every one of you so very much!!!!!
From Mrs. Spicer to Caden's Teachers:
Caden has a hard time with one of his writing assignments and Mrs Schouviller was online in a zoom meeting with him minutes after an email asking for help. She worked with him to strengthen his writing and give him the confidence he needed to be successful! Going from an in person teaching environment to an online one has not been easy, but with the amazing support and response Caden’s teachers (ALL of them) have shown, I have little fear that his educational needs are not being met! Thank you Mrs. Schouviller for supporting my kiddo and helping him grow! Mr. Gillingham, Mrs. Kennedy, Mr.Curtis.... really lucky Caden has such great teachers this year! Just a shout out to those guys as well!
From Julie (Emma S's Mom) to Mrs. Earls:
my daughter has two very sweet notes from Mrs Earls. They hang on her wall in her bedroom. I like to read them too. They are reminders that she is a great person for who she is .. I love that she takes the time to write a personal uplifting note to my child to show she cares and see them as a person and not just another student another number. I was deeply touched as a parent that she would take the time to uplift my daughter with a sweet personal note. Emma loved it too and I could see tears in her eyes as she read it. Thank you so much to all the teachers but special Kuddos to Mrs Earls for the personal hand written letter and the positive impact she makes in my daughters life and education.
