Report Cards
Hello Webster Families! First quarter is complete and report cards have been mailed home along with a letter highlighting the Literacy Collaborative. Moving forward we will no longer be sending hard copies of report cards home. In the future when the quarter ends we will send a Skyward email detailing the few steps that it takes to see your child's report card on Skyward Family Access. We will provide a hard copy of the report card upon request.
You child's MAP data is also available on Skyward, but if you would like the detailed report please contact the main office to request it.

Parent/Teacher Conferences
As previously mentioned in past communications sent home, based on parent feedback we have changed our approach to parent/teacher conferences this year. Traditionally our conferences were between 10-15 minutes with the TA Advisor. Feedback from parents and staff stated that while attendance was strong, the actual value of the conference varied and parents wanted the opportunity to see other teachers in addition to the TA Advisor. Our approach to parent/teacher conferences accommodates this need. Teachers and/or parents can request a conference at any time during the school year, and rather than just meeting with the TA Advisor (Homeroom Teacher) you can meet with the entire team at once. Simply contact any one of your child's teachers or guidance counselor to set up a conference.

Morning Drop Off and Afternoon Pick Up
Now that the weather is getting colder and snow is in the near future I want to again remind our families of our morning drop off procedures. Even though it may be cold or there is snow on the ground, please continue to pull past the curve, go past the dumpsters, and pull up as much as possible until the sidewalk ends. Pulling up that far doubles the amount of cars that can drop off/pick up at one time which has a significant impact on speeding up the procedures. The entire sidewalk along the drop off path will be shoveled and salted. If you are late due to weather conditions you can still drop off your child in the back until 7:40am which is when the doors lock. After 7:40am you will need to drop off in the front of the building and check in at the main office.
If you need a reminder on the procedures please watch the short video below.

Box Tops Contest
As you are shopping and preparing for Thanksgiving, don't forget to save your Box Tops! We are holding our Box Top contest between November 17th-25th. Students will turn in their Box Tops to their homeroom teacher. The homeroom with the most Box Tops in each grade will earn a pizza party. This is an easy fundraiser that requires no out of the ordinary purchases and it is a great way to help support our PTO. Thank you for your participation.

Veteran's Day Assembly
On Tuesday, November 11th Webster held its annual Veterans Day Assembly honoring all individuals who have served our country in armed service. We are proud to partner with American Legion Peter Wollner Post 288 in creating this memorable assembly. We had performances from our band, choir, and two students were selected to read their Patriot's Pen Essay. The event was highlighted with a keynote by Bob Shappell-State Legion Commander. It was a terrific event!
