- The next online-only due date for Scholastic Book Orders is January 19th. The class code is NDJXN. Please order online through Scholastic Books.
- We will be taking the MAP tests this Thursday and Friday, the 18th and 19th. Please make every effort to get your child to school on time on those days. We will be taking the tests first thing in the morning.

Miss Yen
Special Awards
Since there was no school on Friday, we will choose our VIP chair Class Dojo winner on Tuesday when we are back in school. I will update the newsletter when that winner is chosen.
Happy Birthday!
Liam is celebrating a birthday this week!
What we are learning in Room 12...
If your child is going to be absent, please let me know in advance if possible, so I can send make-up work with them.
- Math - We will be finishing up our unit about elapsed time, measurement (kg/g, mL/L), and place value. This week, we will learn about rounding and place value addition/subtraction with regrouping. Please have your child continue to practice multiplication and division facts at home!
- Reading - We will be continuing to learn about point of view.
- Writing/Spelling - In writing, we will be working on writing from a different point of view. Our spelling pattern this week is "Hard G, Soft G, Hard C, and Soft C". Our spelling test will be on Friday!
- Science - Science will resume with Mrs. Kerscher this week and they will be studying rocks and soil.
