December 2023
LISD Families,
I love seeing all of the celebrations with students and holiday cheer around the district. I am grateful for the hard work of the Lewisville High School Student Council on the LISD Adopt an Angel program, and am so appreciative for all of the toys and funds donated from so many in our district and community to help our children and families who are in need.
Thank you also for your efforts to stuff the food pantries in our areas. I have received so many thank you's from organizations saying how the efforts of our school district make a huge difference in our community.
I am extremely proud as I reflect on the efforts this fall and 2023 regarding community support and advocacy for public education and our schools. This fall LISD stakeholders also showed their support for our schools, students and staff throughout the bond and VATRE planning process culminating on election day this past November. I want to once again share my gratitude for those of you who made your way to the polls to make your voice heard. As I’ve shared before, we will of course keep you updated on the next steps of the planning process as projects begin this spring.
No matter how you spend this upcoming holiday season, I wish you all some rest and relaxation. Have a wonderful break, and I'll see you in 2024!
Dr. Lori Rapp
