Handwriting Continued: Letter Formation

Pay attention to how your child forms the letters of the alphabet. Summer is a great time to practice correct letter formation! The Learning Without Tears letter formation charts are pictured below for your reference. Please note that there are so many ways to practice the proper way to form letters without even picking up a pencil! Try forming the letters properly in sand, shaving cream, salt, or rice. Trace or form letters accurately using stickers, wiki sticks, glue, noodles, pipe cleaners, play-dough, or tissue paper. Practicing with paper and pencil is another way to focus on letter formation, of course!

Happy Writing!
Aliza Mann, OTR

Our second grade students and parents teamed up for some exciting and fun STEM activities. From building circuit boards to concocting multivitamins, making gooey worms and a volcano. Our young scholars got see how interesting and fun STEM can be. We are grateful to have a strong group of volunteer parents participate in helping expand the minds of our students. Great parents, students, learning and fun - all the right ingredients for educational success!
