Staff Appreciation Week and Teachers' Day
This week we celebrate Staff Appreciation Week and Teachers' Day. This is a great opportunity for students to honor our support staff and their teacher(s). Your student(s) may chose to honor his/her teacher by doing something special on Teacher Appreciation Day, Tuesday, May 3, or by doing something special every day of the week. Ideas include: flowers, a small gift, a gift card, school supplies, a thank you card, writing what makes his/her teacher special, etc.
Summer School - Apply by May 6

Career Day Guest Speakers Needed!
Mission Elementary is planning Career Day on Friday May 27 2:00-3:00pm. This is an opportunity for our scholars to be inspired by community members and their parents to explore different careers. This day is also designed to encourage students to expand their horizons and deepen their learning passion in different industries.
We plan to have two sections for Career Day. Primary grade levels K-2 will participate in a career resource fair and upper grade levels 3-5 will attend a guest speaker panel.
If you, or know someone interested in participating in either section of the career resource fair and/or be a guest speaker please complete the Career Day Guest Speaker Interest Form and we will follow- up with additional details and information.
Please do not hesitate to reach out to Rosana Martinez, Community School Coordinator with any questions at 760-966-8752 or rosana.martinez@oside.us Thank you for your support!
SAVE THE DATE In-Person Open House
We are excited to welcome back our families and community in-person for Open House May 25th. We cannot wait for students and their parents to tour the classrooms, enjoy delicious hot dogs, walk through the community resource and book fair and participate in the PTO fundraisers.
Together, we will celebrate the success of students, families and community!
