Book Fair Coming Soon !!
Please visit our book fair website for dates and opportunities to volunteer. The profits raised from the book fair go back to our library in the form of new books available for students to check out during their media/library time. The online fair will be available November 3- 16th! All online orders are delivered to school and your child's teacher. New this year: No need to send cash to school with your student. You (or family members) may set up an e-wallet which gives students a secure, cash-free way to shop the fair. There is no charge to set up an eWallet. Parents simply create an account and authorize a spending limit on their credit card. EWallets my be set up as early as October 25th.
Book Fair Dates: Nov. 12: 4-6PM - Nov. 14: 4-8PM - Nov. 18: 11AM -1PM & 4-8PM
Digital Citizenship Week October 14-18th
Each class will begin Digital Citizenship lessons beginning the week of October 7th. Common Sense Media is an amazing resource for parents. Check it out and visit the Parent Need to Know section today.
2nd Grade Students Pledging Media Balance
Our Digital Citizenship Curriculum covers many skills. One skill taught is how to have balance in our media lives! Mrs. Giesinger's students are ready to take the pledge!

Book "Tasting"
All 4th and 5th grade students were welcomed to the JP Cafe to "Taste" books of different genres! Students enjoyed rating the books on a scale of 1-5 "spoons."
International Dot Day
All grades celebrated International Dot Day this year in the Media Center. We read the book by Peter H. Reynolds, made dot art work using technology, and discussed the importance of trying our best and seeing where it takes us!
Star of the North and Maud Hart Lovelace Awards
Students have been enjoying the Star of the North nominated books for 2019-2020. Ask your K-2nd grader which one has been their favorite so far. Students in grades 3-5 will be learning about the Maud Hart Lovelace Nominees soon. Look for the nominees at our book fair in November!
