Arabic Book Fair
The Arab Mothers Association would like to invite you to attend the Arabic Book Fair January 18th-21st from 8:00am-3:30pm in the Elementary Presentation Room. Students who are enrolled in AFL or MSA will have a chance to visit the book fair with their classes. Please feel free to send money with your child to purchase books. Parents are also welcome to stop by and browse the selection of books for sale. For more information you can contact the Lower Elementary Office Manager at kwilson@asd.edu.qa

Reading: Book Review Assessments
Students' Thursday Folders contained assessments for book reviews. If you have any questions, please email. Our new unit is about noticing the character(s) in our books. Most students are reading realistic fiction. We are using clues the author leaves us and making lots of inferences.
Writing Realistic Fiction
I'm enjoying play by play stories about soccer matches, climbing mountains, volcanos, visiting museums...etc.
