FROM THE PRINCIPAL

As we conclude 2022 and break for the winter holiday, I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to all who help make McKinley elementary an amazing place to be. We are a community with many gifts and talents, which we share daily with one another, and most importantly with our students. Our collective efforts help our students grow and meet their goals and are filled with passion, commitment, and a willingness to make decisions that have a positive lasting influence in the future for all.

I would be remise in not mentioning the continued partnerships of the PTA and our school business partner, Heat Transfer Warehouse. They support many critical needs of our students and staff. We are truly blessed to have these important caretakers on-board at McKinley.

During this holiday season we wish you all safety, warmth, health and the love of family and friends.

Fargo Public Schools Accepting Nominations for Teacher, Administrator, and Support Staff of the Year Awards

Community members are invited to nominate a deserving Fargo Public Schools teacher, administrator, or support staff member for the annual Staff Recognition Program. The program honors FPS staff members who serve our students with excellence. Online instructions, forms, and the application process can be found at www.fargo.k12.nd.us/StaffRecognitionProgram.

Winter Is Here!

It's that time of year when our students need to be dressed adequately for the cold. Please make sure that your child has mittens, hats, boots, coats and snowpants that are marked with their names, so if lost can be promptly returned to their rightful owner. It is important that our students are dressed warmly to participate during recess time. If the temperature does not exceed -10 below zero wind chill, we will go outside for the entire recess break! Each class is outside for 20 minutes.
