Addiction has a long lasting effect on your brain in three different ways, Craving the object of addiction; the loss of control over it; and the consequences.
Average age of drug addicts in the U.S.
23 million Americans ages 12 and older have addiction involving nicotine, alcohol or other drugs. This is more than the number of Americans with diabetes and cancer.

The map above shows where drugs are most common through each state. Marijuana is most common in over have of the United States. only a handful of states include other drugs like heroin and other drugs.

The bar graph above shows the comparison between white and black population of each drug. More than 12% of the black population used marijuana in the past year. The white population have used 3 out of the 5 drugs in this graph that is higher than the black population including; Cocaine, Heroin, and Hallucinogens.

This chart above shows the amount of arrest between whites and blacks. It also shows that blacks exceed the white population by thousands.
