Hello Mountain Lion Families,
Happy New Year and welcome back! I hope that everyone was able to enjoy the winter break with friends and family. As we look ahead, I encourage all of us to remain diligent as we begin this new year. The health, safety and wellbeing of our students and staff remains our top priority.
Please see below for some important information regarding changes to the school calendar for the month of January.
Important Calendar Changes For North Penn Families
The North Penn School District has announced the following changes to the 2021-2022 school calendar:
Thursday and Friday, January 20 and 21, 2022: Regular Early Dismissal for all students. At the elementary school level, staff professional development will be provided in various curriculum areas, including math and guidance. At the secondary level, an exam schedule will be implemented. More details regarding the exam schedule will be provided by the building principals. Please note that Extended School Care will be open to students enrolled on these days at the time of the early dismissal.
Thursday, January 27, 2022: The one-hour Early Dismissal for all students previously planned is CANCELLED.

MLK Service Projects
This MLK Day, the Home & School Service Project and Multicultural Committee is hosting three community events for families to participate in from January 3-14, 2022.
Please see attached file for our MLK service projects.
* Montgomery County Foster Care Services: collecting gently used and new children's books.
• Welcome Home: collecting crochet hooks, knitting looms, yarns, sewing kits, games puzzles, arts and craft kits, school supplies, books and flashcards for children/adults learning English.
• Cradles to Crayons: to make "Back to School" cards for 2022-23 school year. (this one can also be done in the classroom on a rainy day when they have indoor recess)
All donation boxes will be in the Main Lobby. Please let us know if you have any questions/thoughts or concerns.
