The Eagle's Nest
Week of October 11, 2021
This month we're focusing on "Self-Discipline". This is positive self-control of one's words, actions, and impulses. We want our students to demonstrate good judgment and have courage to do the right thing.
Quote: "Believe in YOURSELF. Let your LIGHT shine. Refuse to be AVERAGE let your heart SOAR as high as it will.
We are so excited to share that our students attending the Afterschool Arts Academy are already making great strides with playing instruments, creating art, and dancing their hearts out. Our homework support and tutoring is well underway and teachers are reporting students are completing homework early and correctly. We're happy the Arts Academy is a win-win for everyone.
At the end of October, we will have our fall festival. Would you or someone you know like to sponsor a fall festival game? We've included links below to donate beginning at $25. Families who sponsor or find a business to sponsor a game at the $75 level will play all games for free. We've had three families sponsor for a total of $250. We thank you for the support.
We have five important reminders for you this week:
1. Monday is a Teacher Workday. (no school for students)
2. Tuesday- 5th grade check-ins
3. Friday is our PBIS Celebration for all students who have earned 100 points with no think sheets or ISS.
4. Please make sure all students come to school with their mask.
5. Our Pumpkin Decorating Contest has begun. Mrs. Joy is taking pumpkins decorated as book characters during the month of October with winners announced on Oct. 28. There will be one winner per grade level and winners will receive $5 to use at our book fair.
