Dear Area 31 Entrepreneurs and Friends
The deadline to apply to the Incubator in Area 31 is Nov 2nd. If you want to apply, you need to get your act together soon. Don't miss this opportunity to boost your startup within IE Business School's network. The last Open House Day is next Thursday.
On Tuesday Area 31 will host the brainstorming session of IE Business School's OpenIDEO Madrid meetup. We will address the challenge 'How might parents in low-income communities ensure children thrive in their first five years?’ Finally, on Friday entrepreneurial programmers will come to Area 31 to participate in a Speed Networking event with our MBA students. Meet the startups in Area 31: Pupa Planet
Insect Meal as a novel protein source for feed
Due to increasing global meat demand, rising prices and the environmental impact of today´s protein components in animal farming feeds (fish-meal and soybean meal), less price sensitive, more sustainable and highly nutritive new protein sources are needed. In this context, Pupa Planet is implementing and developing new technologies to produce a cost effective maggot (fly) meal, for fishmeal and soymeal replacement in aquafeeds.
