Housing and Eviction Clinics
Who are we?
The Eviction Prevention Project works in tandem with the University of Maryland School of Law's Medical-Legal Partnership and Fair Housing Clinics. Through this project, we help families in Prince George's County with their tenant/landlord issues. This work includes informing tenants of their rights, helping them through issues with their landlords, and connecting them with available resources, such as rental and food assistance.
What will we be doing?
We will be hosting free brief advice sessions for families. These brief advice sessions (available with language interpreters) give us a chance to hear the families’ issues and address them, whether it's about rental/food/utility assistance, possible negotiation with a landlord, or representing the family in court.
Maryland Immigrant Legal Assistance Project
Free legal advice is available for immigrants who must appear before Maryland’s immigration court because they are at risk of deportation. Children, families, and adults can call 443.703.3054 or go to www.probonomd.org/help-for-immigrants to request to speak to an attorney using WhatsApp.
More information about the Pro Bono Resource Center of Maryland and the other free legal services we offer is available at https://probonomd.org/legal-help/. If you have any questions about my program, PBRC, or how you can help, please do not hesitate to ask by emailing cscenna@probonomd.org.

According to a recent poll, Marylanders across the state overwhelmingly want to see healthy school meals available to ALL students, regardless of their parents income. Now, we need Legislators to hear our voices.
On Wednesday, March 15th, advocates from across the state are coming together for an important rally in Annapolis. We must have the Legislature and the Governor hear us!
We know healthy school meals for all improves school performance for all students, reduces stigma, reduces overhead administrative costs, and helps ensure all students are eating healthier meals every day. We would never think about sending kids to school without the books or materials they need to learn - so why not provide the food they need just as much?
Join us for a rally and celebration of healthy school meals for all!
