Leah Daurio
I graduated from Colorado State University-Pueblo with a bachelor’s degree in Spanish. This is my first year teaching in Castleberry ISD and I am so excited to get to know my students!
I have been married for 2 years to my husband, Phillip, who is also a teacher. We have two shih-tzu puppies that we consider our children.
This year, my goal is to exemplify what it means to be a lifelong learner and invite my students to join me in the journey.

I am ready for another year of creative learning with my students. There is nothing we can't accomplish together!
Deidra Day
I graduated from Midwestern State University with a degree in Education. I have been teaching for 23 years and have been in Castleberry I.S.D. for 8 years. I have one daughter, one son, and two stepsons. I also have two grandchildren.
My goal is to encourage and inspire my students to be creative and enthusiastic about learning. I am looking forward to a new beginning in a new school with an awesome team.
Judy Roe
I graduated from Texas Woman’s University with degree in Education. I have been teaching in Castleberry for 22 years. I have taught third grade and second grade. I am married and have one son and two grandchildren. I love to travel and read.
This year my goal is to have a caring and thoughtful classroom. I want my students do their best and be successful. I want the parents to feel a part of their student’s education.
Julie Jenkins
I graduated from Baylor University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education. This will be my second year in CISD and cannot be more excited to start my second year in second grade!
My goal is to instill in each of my students an insatiable desire to learn. My hope is that my students will leave my classroom as inspired life-long learners who embrace each other as family.
Linda Aguillon
I graduated from Texas Wesleyan University with a Bachelor’s of Science. I recently finished my graduate degree from University of Texas in Arlington with a degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a Literacy emphasis. I have been teaching for 16 years. This is my second year in Castleberry I.S.D., previously I worked in Fort Worth I.S.D. I have been married to my husband, Oscar for 24 years and have two wonderful children. My son Anthony is a Castleberry graduate and my daughter, Alyssa, is a freshman at Castleberry High School.
This year my goal is to inspire and encourage my students to strive for excellence. I am excited about getting to know my new “family members” as we begin our journey of learning together. It is my hope that my enthusiasm for learning will be contagious in and out of my classroom.
