Pasco County Schools After School Enrichment Programs (ASEP) invites you to join our STEAMsational Summer Camps this summer at one of our 12 elementary school locations. Camps will provide 10-weeks of engaging and enriching activities in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math (STEAM). Campers in grades K-5 will be immersed in hands-on activities where they will experiment, invent, build, design, and create! Campers at most locations will receive a healthy breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack daily; and will participate in a wide variety of activities, skill building sports, and games.

PASCO COUNTY'S READ-AT-HOME PLAN
READING SCHOLARSHIPS WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR ELEMENTARY STUDENTS GRADES 3 - 5
Eligible students include all public school students in grades 3 through 5 who scored a Level 1 or 2 on their FSA ELA in grades 3 or 4 in the spring of 2022. The scholarship is $500 and could be used by families for things such as afterschool tutoring in reading or summer reading programs at StepUpForStudents.org/Reading. The students may be asked for their ELA score report, but it is not required to complete the application. The application window will open AFTER 2022 FSA scores are released.

For Middle & High School Students: If middle or high school students currently have access to Lexia PowerUp, they will continue to have access through July 31st. Please set goals or challenges with students to motivate them to engage in the program this summer. SUMMER LITERACY ACTIVITIES FOR FAMILIES
Just Read, Florida! has compiled a list of everyday activities families can engage in with their children during the summer to keep them engaged in fun literacy activities. Suggested activities are included for:
- traveling
- watching television
- reading newspapers and books
- helping with family dinner
- spending time inside and outside the house
- listening to music and playing games

Other summer resources
- Fitness: Planet Fitness is letting students between ages 14-18 go to their gyms for free over the summer. Students just need to register for a pass on their website. Registration starts May 16th.
- Transportation: Pasco Public Transportation allows students to purchase a Student Summer Haul Pass for $20 that gives them unlimited rides over the summer
- Reading: Barnes & Nobles has a summer reading journal available for download on their website. Any kid who brings in a journal with 8 or more books logged to a Barnes & Nobles location between July 1st - Aug 31st will get a free book
- Reading: Scholastic's Summer Reading Program will be available this summer. For every two days in a row kids track their reading streaks, Scholastic, with the help of other sponsors, will donate a book (totaling up to 100,000 books) to underserved kids across the country.
- Academics: Numerade offers free online summer camps for students who need a little help in various STEM subjects including SAT/ACT prep
- Volunteer: For students looking for volunteer opportunities Kids That Do Good connects students with the charity of their choice and helps track their hours.
- Crafting: Michaels offer Camp Creatology from June 20th - July 15th with free on-site and online workshops Ages 6+
- Sports: Kids Bowl Free lets kids play 2 free games a day (not inlcuding shoes) at participating locations (Lane Glo in New Port Richey) Parents can register kids online
- Sports: Kids Skate Free lets kids to skate for free once a week at participating locations (Astro Skate)
