The 8th grade students enrolled in Computer Applications continued with their goal setting along with choosing strategies to help them reach their goals. This is a year long process, increasing 3 wpm each month. For March our benchmark goal is 34 wpm with 90% accuracy for the month.
7th and 8th grade Computer Applications Video productions continued and we found many trailers needed a TAKE 2 revision on their trailers. Those are now complete and we are waiting on a few students who were absent to complete their revisions and then we will share them with the entire school next week. On Tuesday of next week 7th graders will view the 8th grade trailers, and vice versa. By Thursday we will share them with all FMS students. Have your 7th/8th grader share their video with you. You will be impressed!
7th and 8th grade "wheel" reviewed computer shortcuts along with practicing their keyboarding as well.
6th grade students participated in many activities while completing their computer shortcuts unit this week. They were assessed on Thursday. We ended the week with an "Hour of Code" activity. (see description below) Next week the 6th graders will begin a two week unit on Microsoft Word, along with continuing with their keyboarding practice.
All computer students will participate in an "Hour of Code", which is a STEM activity.
