Lord Jesus Christ, in the Sacrament of the Eucharist
You left us the outstanding manifestation of your limitless love for us.
Thank You for giving our child the opportunity to experience this love
in receiving the Sacrament for the first time.
May your Eucharist presence keep him/her ever free from sin, fortified in faith,
pervaded by love for God and neighbour, and fruitful in virtue,
that he/she may continue to receive You throughout life
and attain final union with You at death.
Amen.
From the Principal
Dear St Columba’s school community,
At last week’s assembly, the Year 1 students reminded us about the importance of ‘Being You’. This was a truly inspirational message for them to share with our school community and I thank them very much.
The start of this week was magnificent with a lovely Mother’s Day Breakfast organised by our Year 1 P&F Representative. I’m sure every mother, grandmother, aunty or mother figure that attended felt very special. The morning concluded with a beautiful Mother’s Day Liturgy by the Year 4 staff and students. A big thank you to everyone involved in the wonderful event.
NAPLAN week always brings with it a mixture of excitement and anxiety for teachers, students and parents. A big thank you to our teachers for guiding our students through this week.
Our Sacramental Program is in full swing with the Year 4 students participating in a Eucharist Retreat facilitated by 24:7 Youth Ministry which from all accounts the students thoroughly enjoyed. It was a wonderful opportunity to reflect on the importance of the Last Supper and the significance of receiving the bread and wine. This Sunday, May 16th, will be the beginning of our Sacramental Masses. The students in Year 4W will be receiving their First Holy Communion and I ask that you keep them in your prayers.
Wishing everyone a lovely weekend!
God Bless

Hi Everyone,
The term is full steam ahead and is flying past. I hope everyone had a lovely Mothers' Day. A huge thank you to our Year One Representatives and their team of helpers, they gave up their relaxing Mothers Day to go do the shopping and food preparation. Then a very early start on Monday morning which was a huge success and enjoyed by all. HUGE GRATITUDE AND THANKS.
GRATITUDE goes to everyone that supported the hot cross buns and movie fund-raiser. The money raised enabled the P&F to pay for the new cubby house at Kindy. Thank you.
Save the date for our Retro Bingo on the Saturday 7th August 2021. More details to follow but keep the dated locked into your calendar.
Save the date for the Fete on Sunday 21st November 2021. Any helpers are greatly welcomed.
