Hawaiʻi Pacific Health invests in the UH-JABSOM mission
Hawaiʻi Pacific Health Medical Student Scholarship Fund Announced; Total Commitment Now Stands at $1.5 Million for 10 Students
Cheers and many thanks to JABSOM's partner in training our future physician workforce, Hawaiʻi Pacific Health, for yet another major investment in JABSOM. Five additional full-four-year scholarships will go to entering Hawaiʻi students who will commit to serving in Hawaiʻi once their training is completed. As Dean Hedges put it, “All the credit should go to HPH for looking toward future workforce needs and the value of synergy with the medical school,” said Dean Hedges. The five new, four-year scholarships, come on the heels of five HPH supported last year. Read the story and hear Student Affairs Director Dr. Larry Burgess describe why these scholarships are so important for Hawaiʻi.
