Continuing On In The Pandemic
These are interesting times we live in, as this is history in the making and what we are all going through is unique to our generations. As we stride into the last month of school from our homes, social-distancing and remote learning continue. The days can feel like years as we social-distance, and many people are left in boredom, so why not enjoy OwlFeed's newest stories, especially with all the free time on your hands.

Governor Doug Ducey and Superintendent Kathy Hoffman have officially shut down school for the rest of the year, and although this is devastating news there are many ways to make the most of this quarantine. This is definitely a tough transition for most of us, but I will be going over techniques and tips on how to stay healthy emotionally and ways to make the most out of the time you have in your hands.

It seemed as if there were not enough hours in the day to complete your goals until COVID-19 came and turned everyone’s life 180. Many people are experiencing a surplus amount of time that they have never had before and are in all honesty, lost in the realm of boredom.
Change is not easy for most especially when it is major and occurs in such a short amount of time, yet many students here at Agua Fria have found new ways to fill up the empty hours in their day.

For seniors, leaving a place that they spent seven hours a day for five days a week for four years, they need a special goodbye, to not just the campus, but their friends, teachers and a part of themselves as they go on to the next part of their lives. Everything is in waiting and all we know is that we won’t be attending school again this year, but, in the hopes that this quarantine doesn’t last much longer, I think the school can redeem students’ senior year in quite a few ways.

No competing. No practicing. Not even a sporting event to watch. As most people have been able to adjust to a new daily routine, athletes have been hit hard. Morning or afternoon practices with their teammates and coaches are no longer a thing. Even though athletes train on their own to stay in shape, it’s not the same as having a season to compete in.

“TikTok is definitely part of my daily life now more than it ever was,” said Kyra Caldwell, a freshman at Agua Fria Highschool. There are more than 680 million users on TikTok, and the user count continues to grow alongside with the boredom of many other people.

Stay Frosty Soldiers, Rainbow Six Siege Just Got An Update
The Rainbow Six Siege community has been waiting for a game changing update, just like this one. Operation “Void Edge” has been newly released and is one of the biggest updates yet. This new update contained two new operators coming from Azraq, Jordan and the Netherlands with a reworked map. It also contained patches and fixes to improve the game.

Covid-19 Response Promotes Sinophobia
As the Covid-19 crisis continues to grow around the world, anxiety and panic are increasing exponentially due to misinformation. Because of this, the Asian-American community is being put at high-risk. Recently, in addressing the coronavirus outbreak in the US, President Donald Trump has taken to Twitter with the insistence that the Covid-19 Virus outbreak “is all China’s fault” and repeatedly continues to label the Covid-19 virus as the “Chinese Virus.”

Online School 101: Advice for Distance Learning
Right now, the Agua Fria community, students and teachers are currently not able to learn and teach traditionally. Today, everyone is being taught in the comfort of their own homes, without the physical presence of friends and teachers. At first, everyone was in chaos, not knowing how to grasp such a hard task. Today, some of Agua Fria’s community have gotten a better grasp of distance learning (myself included), and are ready to give advice to help those who still may be struggling.

What Are We Feeling: The Cycle of Grief
In this pandemic, it is hard to describe what we are experiencing and most of us are at a loss for words. What are we feeling? Grief. Everything is different right now, and we are experiencing the cycle of grief all at different paces. Day-by-day our emotions towards this situation are evolving, and they can best be described by the Kübler-Ross model which outlines the five stages of grief: denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance.
