Academy of the Arts at Bransom
April 23-27, 2018 (School Days 148-152)
A Note From Your Principal
Hello, Families and Friends of the Academy of the Art at Bransom. We are starting another great week. While the excitement of performances, a field day, Student Principal of the Hawaiian Day, and so much more filled our week last week, this week is just as important but less hectic.
A big Poetry Celebration is taking place this week for 2nd graders, our current kinders are going to Casa Manana, and our new kindergartners will be registering for their big Kinder adventure. We need everyone to seek out their friends and neighbors who have an incoming kindergartner that may need to get registered. Of course everyone will be expected to continue to read The Mouse and the Motorcycle as a family. See more details below.
In closing, let me say that I could not be more please with the progression of our transition into an fine arts school. We have begun making plans for next year and we are excited about some real additional possibilities. We are also hopeful that you and your family will be willing to broaden the scope of integration of the arts into your own family life. It is really good for the whole family.
Looking forward to seeing our students' world expand,
Mrs. Burchfield
SUMMER CAMP SUCCESS
It is our goal to help children feel comfortable on our stages as well as the big stages in their future lives. Without question, the performers we witnessed last Thursday evening will be seen again on the Kerr, STEAM, Centennial stages in the near future. Just wait and see!

Math Tip of the Week for Parents from Mrs. Blair
Research shows that parental involvement is extremely important to fostering positive attitudes and success in math. There are many different ways to support children’s math learning at home, such as practicing number operations. A few examples are below.
