From the Principal
Dear Copeland Families,
Wow! We had perfect weather for our Field Days. Thanks to all who came out and helped. The students had a blast!
Red Ribbon Week is next week (Oct. 28 – Nov. 1). We encourage all students to join us as we team up against drugs by dressing according to our daily themes.
Monday, Oct. 28 - Proud to be Drug Free - Wear red
Tuesday, Oct. 29 - Black Out Drugs - Wear black
Wednesday, Oct. 30 - Team Up Against Drugs - Wear favorite sports team attire
Thursday, Oct. 31 - Say Boo to Drugs - Wear black, orange, green, and/or purple
Friday, Nov. 1 - Our School Chooses to be Drug Free - spirit shirts
Our 3rd and 5th graders will attend Nature Trails on October 30 – 31. This is always a fun outing and great learning for our Colts. Our Father/Daughter Dance will be held at Langham Creek High School on Saturday, November 2nd from 4:00 – 6:30 p.m. Such a fun event! Hope you will join us for that. Get your tickets now at CopelandPTO.org. The week of November 4 – 8 is our fall book fair! We hope everyone will join us for Family Night on Monday, November 4th from 4:30 – 7:00 p.m.
Thanks so much for your generous support of our Big Kahuna fundraiser! Item pickup will be at Copeland on Wed., Nov. 6 from 4 – 6 pm in the gym.
Parent/Teacher Conferences have traditionally been held on Columbus Day. Conferences will be held on Election Day, November 5th. The district made this change in the interest of student safety.
The CFISD Board of Trustee Election is underway. Early voting runs through Nov. 1, or you can vote Nov. 5 on Election Day. You can find voting details here.
Monday, November 11th we will host our annual Veterans' Day festivities. Please support our efforts to honor our Veterans by purchasing flags for your child to wave during our Let Freedom Ring parade. The money raised from flag sales also pays for breakfast for our veterans. Flags are available for purchase on School Cash online here.
