All About Malware
The definition of Malware means: any malicious software. This means that if you get this that it was no accident and you were intended to get it.
Some things that usually go along with Malware is:
- Viruses
- Trojan Horses
- Spyware
The Virus will copy itself from one computer to the next, doing exactly what it has been programed to do. the catch to these things is that to contaminate your computer it has to come into contact with it. These come in things like floppy disks and thumb drives.
Trojan Horses make something sound really good and like something that you want to get, but once you get them you are allowing someone to get into your computer. This type of Malware can come in things like downloading a show, game, and movie to your computer.
Spyware is another type of Malware and it's when someone is hacking into your computer and secretly getting personal information. Pretty much spyware is identity theft.
Ways to stop Malware
Some ways to stop Malware:
- get an antivirus software that you like and let it run all the time
- get a firewall so that you can control what comes into your computer
- use your common sense and think before you act
- don't be extremely curious when going online
