Make -up Picture Day 9/21/23
Good Evening All Sinaloa Families,
This week we will have our make up picture day and we are continuing our basketball practices for both the girls and the boys. The girls practice on Mondays and Wednesdays and the boys practice on Tuesday and Thursdays from 2:45 - 3:45.

Sinaloa Takes Action - We are continuing to collect items for our military men and women that are serving in areas around the world. We will have a box in the main office to collect items to donate to For the Troops. We will be taking these items until Sept. 29th.
Coffee with the Principals - Makenna Coffee will offer any parents from Sinaloa MS or Royal High School a FREE drip coffee on Tuesday, Sept. 26th from 8:30 - 10:00 AM. Mr. Hall and Mr. Rumble will be at Makenna (153 Cochran St. #310 - just West of Walmart) to answer your questions and have good coffee and good conversations.
Our Flex period will continue to meet in the same classrooms for last week of this session. In October we will start our second Flex period session. Students will choose their Flex period on Oct. 6th.

National Junior Honor Society
The Sinaloa Chapter of the National Junior Honor Society will hold their Fall Induction Ceremony on September 19th from 6:00 - 7:00 PM in our Amphitheater. If your student is interested in joining us, please contact Mrs. Gerfen (sarah.gerfen@simivalleyusd.org) or have them stop by room IA-5 for more information. They would be getting the information to apply next semester since the fall application deadline has already past.

School portraits taken by Cornerstone Photography are now available for viewing and ordering! All orders must be placed online, will incur a $5 shipping charge, and will be mailed directly home. Portrait pickup on campus or in the Cornerstone studio is not available. To view your portrait, click the link below and enter your online code which is SLMS and your Student ID. PARENT ADVISORY
Parents please be aware that a company named High Light has created vape pens that look like regular highlighters students would use in school. No highlighter or pen should have a port to charge it so if you see that on any of your student's school supplies please confiscate those items and have a discussion with your child. Makenna Coffee will provide a FREE Drip coffee to all parents from these two schools. Mr. Hall and Mr. Rumble will be at Makenna Coffee with our PTSAs, School Resource Officers and SVUSD District personnel.
SABERS TAKE ACTION: Please donate ITEMS to FOR THE TROOPS so we can show our Military personnel that they are not forgotten.
If any of our families need assistance with school supplies or other household items Sinaloa MS has teamed up with For the Need to help our families. If you are in need of anything please contact the counseling office for more assistance.
In October Sinaloa will be participating in SOCKTOBER. This is a national movement to collect socks for needy individuals throughout the month of October.
