Grace Changes Everything
Our theme this year is "Grace changes everything". Grace is the exercise of love, kindness, compassion, mercy, favor as well as the disposition to benefit or serve others.
We will start the school year by teaching grace and courtesy to the children. We know that grace and courtesy lessons help children become oriented to the prepared environment (classrooms). Below are examples of Grace and Courtesy Lessons that students will receive in the first few weeks of school.
Montessori schools prepare children to become citizens of the world and it begins with grace and courtesy in their own environments at home and school.
"If we are to teach real peace in this world... we shall have to begin with the children." —Mahatma Gandhi

Are You Up For It?
RAOK week requires all of us to be intentional with our words, service and time. Here’s a few challenges for those who really want to spread kindness this week!
Choose a classroom of a different age group to write encouraging notes to. With STAAR coming up our students who are about to face testing could really use words of encouragement! (Check with that teacher to make sure another class hasn’t already chosen them)
Finished with your work? GIVE YOUR TIME & SERVE. Restore your classroom, go be a peer tutor or beautify the campus by working on a purposeful project.
Check out the Random Acts of Kindness Board located on the way to the cafeteria, choose a card, and complete the mission!
Our campus is special for so many reasons and this activity allows students to share why they love LAMM so much! Have your students complete the “I love LAMM because ______” prompt & stick them on the butcher paper placed in the middle hallway next to the adult restrooms to serve as a reminder for all how special our campus is.
