Parent and Student Newsletter: April 8, 2021
Belvidere Elementary
Principal's Note
If you haven't heard yet, next week, APRIL 12, we will be welcoming our 3-5th grade in person students to attend school 4 days a week. (Students who signed up for virtual will stay virtual through the end of the year.) This will be so beneficial for our students! This also means ALL devices will STAY AT SCHOOL except Tuesday nights when we send them home for virtual learning on Wednesdays!
We are still following distancing protocols, wearing masks, and sanitizing our hands and area often. We ask that you please still keep your students home if they aren't feeling well.
Also, as the weather warms up please be sure your student is still following our DISTRICT dress code.
- Shorts/skirts must be fingertip length or longer
- No spaghetti strap tank tops or tank tops that have overly large arm holes
- Belly, back, bottom, and chest must be covered.
- Pants must have no holes/rips
- No hats or hoods may be warn on the head during school unless it is a "special" day and we have sent out notice.
If a student is at school in violation of the dress code, we will call home and request clothes to be brought up. If this is not possible, we will provide them with an alternative outfit for the day so we can get them back to learning as quickly as possible!
-Ms. Dane

Ipad/Macbook Damage
Please do not take our devices to outside places to be serviced! You will, most likely, end up paying more and it could damage the device further - costing you double in the end!
Insurance purchase is no longer available for this school year. However, we will send devices home next year and we encourage everyone to purchase insurance.
Daycare Assistance
Below is a Missouri notice that childcare subsidy is currently available to help working parents of school-age children pay for full-day childcare on days their children’s school is not in-person. It is also available for up to 90 days for parents looking or work. Parents must apply before December 31, 2020 using one of the following options:
- The best place to apply is online: https://apps.dss.mo.gov/fmwBenefitCenter/Account/SignInInfo.aspx.
- Paper application is also available: https://dss.mo.gov/fsd/child-care.htm
Applying online gives parents the ability to know the status of their application at any time. It helps ensure the documents uploaded are connected to their case, even if there is not clearly identifying information on it. It avoids the challenges encountered when connecting through the phone system.
(LINC/MARC can also help grandparents or other home-based providers get registered to receive state payment. It’s a lot to do but we can help them through it.)
I have attached a copy of the printer-friendly flier. Please contact me if you have any questions.
Thanks,
