CMS Weekly eNews
Friday, October 16, 2020 (Week #5)
CMS Families:
What a great week we had! It was so amazing to have students back in the building. We saw so many happy faces and we took a huge step moving forward toward normalcy. Well, the new normalcy, as we know it today. I am so proud of our faculty and students for making this process very smooth. In addition, I want to thank all of the parents and guardians for being patient and having an understanding of the big picture.
Next week, we are excited to welcome back our Cohort A students. This will complete a full cycle transition of our students in the Hybrid model. I’m sure students are connecting with each other and talking about their experience. Each day the process gets better and better. Please reach out directly to me if you have any questions or concern as we continue to enter into this phase of Hybrid learning.
Wishing everyone a great weekend.
See below for some important points of the upcoming week.

Students Changing Learning Platforms
Please know that this isn't instant and takes time to finalize. Please stay in your present placements until you get invited into the new classrooms from the new teachers. Students are responsible for all work until this process becomes complete. Additionally, grades will be shared with the new teachers as well. Finally, and very important to note, when you request a change it takes time and teachers can be switched as well.
Bus Routes:
Information about the bus routes are published. Click the link below to access this information.
Mask Breaks:
Will be taking place throughout the school day. At minimum once during teaching time and once before dismissal. Reminder – Based off student need, teacher instruction, the mask break times may fluctuate (gators or bandanas are not allowed).

Thank you to everyone who has completed this process. If you haven’t, please take a moment to complete it. Once completed, you can either mail completed form to us, copy it and drop it off in the box located outside our school or PDF it and email the completed form to landre@dcrsd.org or pkasierski@dcrsd.org

During the Remote Learning platform, all school expectations apply with respect to behavior, etc. What is acceptable in school is our benchmark for communications and interactions within the remote learning environment. Please remind your children of this – Thank You.
