Special Fundraiser- Walk to Water

The students in Mrs. Murphy's and Mrs. Briber's class were inspired by the story of Salva Dut in the book A Long Walk to Water by Linda Sue Park. They are organizing a fundraiser to support a nonprofit organization called Water for South Sudan. Additionally, they are working with Mr. Hogan, our PE teacher, to organize a walk to simulate "a long walk to water." Learn more about it here and consider donating. Thank you!

All of the students at Washington School will participate on March 23 in the Walk to Water. Mr. Hogan has worked with students to create an obstacle course of sorts to simulate the long walk to water that children in South Sudan make each day. Students will carry a gallon of water while they complete the walk around Washington School.

Chorus Concert- Thurs, April 7
