It's 2014... you know what your kids's skills are?

It's time for digital literacy!

Our students never knew a world without smartphones and the internet. Our students first pictures were shared on social media. Our students can find there way around a website and figure out all the menus on an app as easily as they can ride a bike or throw a ball.

But what are their real skills? Can they tell where information is coming from, or even how it's created? Do they know how to tell good information from bad?

The world has changed and we need to change how we educate our students to live in it.

It's time to add to our understanding of what 21st century literacy is. Let's make the 2014/2015 school year the one we start educating our students for the world they're living in!
