Monthly Newsletter

Hello Rose Hill Families!

It is officially Spring, and we are in the final stretch of the 2020-2021 school year! We have a very full calendar for the remainder of the year. Please make sure to look over the upcoming calendars so you don’t miss any important or fun events.

Our 3rd-5th grade students began the NSCAS test the week of March 22nd and will continue testing until April 30th. As parents and guardians, you are asked to encourage your child to do his/her best on the test. Please remind them testing is just one part of their education and this provides just one piece of information about their progress. If you have questions about how to better understand testing, please contact Ms. McWilliams, our Instructional Facilitator. I am confident our Rose Hill students will continue to shine and show off how talented they are as students. With our combined efforts, our students will do wonderful.

We are quickly approaching the time when we compile class lists for next school year. Several factors are considered in order to balance classrooms. If you are interested in requesting a certain classroom, please email Dr. Frison by Friday, April 23, 2021.

Remember, there is no school on Friday, April 2, 2021. As always, thank you for your continued support and partnership in our school community!

Students will be taking the Nebraska Student-Centered Assessment System, NSCAS soon. This assessment is to provide teachers, students, and parents with an assessment of student progress in mastering college and career-ready skills based on Nebraska's Academic Standards in English Language Arts, Mathematics, and Science. Please be on the lookout for your child's testing dates.

Hello Rose Hill Families!

Spring 2020 through Spring 2021 has disrupted our usual fundraising efforts. We have missed out on several of our yearly fundraising events including:

Movie Nights

Candy Grams

Spirit Store

Penny Wars

Makers & Vendors Market

Fun Run

This school year we have been able to use reserve funds to provide for needs in the classrooms as well as to bless the teachers with some goodies to let them know they are appreciated, but we are in need of raising money to put us in a good spot to start the 2021-2022 school year. Will you help us? We are kicking off our SPRING ROSE HILL PTO GIVING CAMPAIGN.

We will be sending home information and an envelope with each student next week. We are asking each student’s family to consider giving $5 to this campaign. We are also asking, that for those who feel comfortable, to ask friends, families and neighbors to consider contributing as well. Each student who returns an envelope with money raised for this campaign will be entered into a drawing for a variety of prizes provided by the PTO and community donations.

If you would like to make a donation online, you can find our online donation page here (be sure to note student’s name when donating so they can be entered in our drawing):

If you have questions, please contact:

Heather Kes (PTO President) @

Tara Wilson (PTO Vice President) @

Watch for our fundraising information and envelopes next week. Thank you in advance for your generosity! We look forward to more opportunities to work alongside of you in the future as we support our Rose Hill Rams!
