"B" Week

PLCs: On Thursday

LST - Friday morning 7:30

American Education Week is (Monday, Nov. 16th - Friday, Nov. 20th)

NJSD, along with the other Fox Valley area school districts, will be celebrating American Education Week Nov. 16-20. This is the first year NJSD has celebrated the event and we will be participating in two simple activities:

1. Staff and students at all Fox Valley Area schools will have 30 seconds of applause for public education on Wednesday, Nov. 18 at 9 a.m. Your principal will lead this activity with a PA announcement at this time.

2. Stickers will be distributed for you and your students to wear proudly on Wednesday. The stickers read "We Love Our Neenah Schools" and will be given to each of you on Tuesdayfor you to pass out to your students at the start of the day (or in your first hour class) on Wednesday.

Thank you to those who presented last Friday. It is so nice to have a school family that is willing to take on leadership roles.

Operation Gratitude

This week students at Taft brought in 94 pounds of Halloween candy for Operation Gratitude. We are partnering with Boundry Dental in Fond du Lac who will be giving Taft $1.00 per lb. They will then send the candy to troops overseas along with the cards and thank you letters the students wrote on Veterans Day.

A Note From Facilities

Lights left on in empty classrooms demand energy. Doors propped open allow heat out of the building.Hot water left running creates demand on the water heater. Even turning on all lights (instead of just a few banks of lights) in a classroom or gym that may not need all of that light costs money. Please be aware of things we can do to help conserve energy and save money, so we can emphasize an energy saving culture throughout the District.
