Media is addictive
Media
Media is communication, as radio and television, newspapers, and magazines that reach or influence people widely. In general, "media" refers to various means of communication. For example, television, radio, and the newspaper are different types of media. The term can also be used as a collective noun for the press or news reporting agencies. In the computer world, "media" is also used as a collective noun, but refers to different types of data storage options. Media literacy is a repertoire of competencies that enable people to analyze, evaluate, and create messages in a wide variety of media modes, genres, and formats. Media has it negatives and positives. Everyone use social media for any information. Social media brings out the news before the actual news will. Everyone lives off the internet. If we didn’t have internet the world would be different. Everyone meets their friends and significant other off the internet. Now the internet can be very negative at times. People can expose you, bully you and give out false information. Cyber-bullying has been a big problem today and many have committed suicide. Youth on the internet has no idea what they are getting into and doesn’t know the meaning of the internet. We are so consumed with the media around us that it’s very important that we understand it and become “media literate.” Being “media literate” means that you understand how the media works and know the real messages of things. Being aware of the media is very important.

Resistance Muse
Resistance Muse perfectly describes 1984 because it talks about Julia and Winston relationship “Love is our resistance! They keep us apart and won't stop breaking us down and hold me; our lips must always be sealed”. It describes perfect because basically Winston and Julia hides their relationship the whole time. “Is your secret safe tonight? And are we out of sight?” The secret is Winston and Julia's love affair and in order to be together they must be away from the eyes of Big Brother. "(It could be wrong, could be wrong) But it should've been right Let our hearts ignite Are we digging a hole? This is outta control It could never last Must erase it fast But it could've been right (It could be wrong, could be)" At one point Winston questions his relationship with Julia saying, "Has it ever occurred to you that the best thing for us to do would be to simply walk out of here before it’s too late, and never see each other again?" Julia responds to this with, "Yes, dear, it has occurred to me, several times. But I'm not going to do it all the same." To which Winston then responds, "We may be together for another six months-a year-there's no knowing." Winston is concerned about their safety but at the same time he feels so much love for Julia that he chooses to risk his life to be with her.
Over look on Media
Entry 6
Media literacy really hasn’t changed for me, I been knew that social media is popular. There are negative and positive aspects on the internet. I knew some things are true and fake. Social media is overrated and a bad source to youth these days. It can be a distraction and an addictive piece at the same time. Many kids don’t get their work done because of the internet. The world lives off the internet and other devices. I really haven’t learned anything but to do your work on time because too many things are given at once. There is no such thing as a break with senior literature. Everything is a go go go pace but do have time to make it up. But in the future it can be helpful because I know college is going to be like this. Prepare for the worst because when the better comes you can already be ready for it. This class is way different than any other language art classes because in the other classes all we did is read. In here, this really focuses on the internet and everything we do is on the internet. Except the reading part, I would rather read a million books than having a million assignments due. I’m really a lazy person but I do get the work done closer when the assignment is due. What could be different to make the class better? I would say giving a lot of assignments at one time because not many people have access to the internet or have other important things to do after school and won’t have time. But spacing out the assignments would be better because people can get the first assignment done and be ready for the second assignment. Other than that, the class is fun and the teacher is really cool. You get to see things you can’t in other classes. Watch funny videos and have a little freedom.
