Green Eggs and Ham: Story of the Week
This week we enjoyed Dr. Seuss Story "Green Eggs and Ham". Share the video with your child at home.
Giant Roller Ramps!!!
Our little builders designed and constructed their very own giant roller ramp—with lots of high-action thrills built right in! We simply snapped together the large plastic pieces in any position we could imagine…then we launched a plastic ball and we had a blast watching it twist and turn through the ramps!

SENSORY ACTIVITY: WATER BALLS
The wonderful world of water bead play!!!
Water beads are actually meant for use in flower arrangements to add color, water, shine, and texture to the water in a jar. Having said this, it is important to note that water beads are non-toxic and environmentally safe, they should not be eaten by young children. Ms. Ginni's class understood this and they did a wonderful job playing with the water beads but Ms. Ginni talked with our students about the do’s and don’ts of playing with waterbeads when we introduced them to the class…
Water beads promote learning and development in all content areas of the classroom. From fine motor exploration to science, color, sensory, and creative art – the ideas of how water beads can be used are endless. I feel like we only tapped into just the beginning of what the possibilities are in the classroom this week and look forward to making new discoveries with the students next week…
Water beads feel like soft, squishy, smooth marbles
We loved to search for them, scoop them, pour them, feel them, and gather them in cups….
The Girls searching for Letters
Pendulum Play!!!
It was raining outside, let’s have some fun with a tennis ball, a string and a stick. The children have been asking to knock over their block structures in different ways. They have pushed, kicked, and rolled balls into the structures to knock them down, but they wanted to know how do builder people (construction workers) knock over building. This lead to a discussion on wreaking balls.
BALLS
"Exploring Size - Ball Sorter" is a hands-on activity in which children use plastic containers with different sizes, to sort balls by size.
Elena took all the Big balls
Agustina was in charge of the medium balls.
They both had a great time
Art with Rolling Balls!
Under the Sun!
Ball Painting is a fun activity where children balls, rather than brushes, to create an abstract work of art. The activity encouraged children to use both their fine and gross motor skills in order to paint with the balls. It also introduced them to color mixing, as well as concepts such as size and sequencing. Most of all, it’s a fun activity for the kids which encourages their creativity.
