Deepening Professional Learning Using the Framework for Teaching
June 21-22, 2018

Porter Education Center - CLC (Classroom #110)
In this two-day session, district and school teams consisting of administration, teacher leaders, instructional coaches and mentors will explore opportunities for integrating the Framework for Teaching into district and school initiatives and priorities for student learning.
Teams will deepen their understanding of the Framework and create an action plan for ongoing professional learning at all levels of the system including leadership and department teams, and professional learning communities.
Overview of the Sessions
Day 1:
- Framework Review
- Digging into the Big Ideas of the Framework
- Reflecting on Practice: Aligning School and District Priorities to the Framework for Teaching
Day 2:
- Exploring a Systems Approach to Continuous Improvement
- Reflection and Refinement of Collaborative Structures at the School and District Level to Support Teaching and Learning as Defined in the Framework for Teaching
- Action Planning for Next Steps and Implementation at the School or District
Bring your copy of the 2nd edition of “Enhancing Professional Practice: A Framework for Teaching” by Charlotte Danielson.
If you don't have a copy, one will be provided for you in class.
FREE for Lenawee County educators/$300 for all others
Application for SCECHS is in process.

The Danielson Trainer
Danielson Group trainer, Ann Cummins-Bogan, has led the Framework for Teaching/Danielson classes for Lenawee educators many times in the past and has put together these trainings based on local district Superintendent input and her knowledge of the training Lenawee County's educational leaders have experienced.
