- Use estimation strategies to assess reasonableness of answers.
- Model and explain how the relationship between addition and subtraction can be applied to solve addition and subtraction problems.
- Use expanded form to decompose numbers and then find sums and differences.
3.PCH.3 Understand necessary steps to prevent and respond to unintentional injury.
- Use methods for prevention of common unintentional injuries.
- Summarize methods that increase and reduce injuries in and around water.
- Implement a plan to escape fire at home while avoiding smoke inhalation.

Classroom News and Reminders
Chromebooks- We are going to start bringing Chromebooks back to school on Thursday and Friday of this week. More information coming home soon.
Remote Day- Monday, October 19, 2020, will be a remote learning day for the whole school.
Activities- Does your child participate in an activity after school or on the weekends? If so, please send me a schedule. I love to support my students both in and out of the classroom.
Jackets- I keep it very cool in the classroom. This makes wearing a mask a little more comfortable. It also means that it can get very chilly. Please be sure that your child brings a light jacket or sweatshirt to school each day.
Assignment Books-Please check your child's assignment book each night and initial it. I check these every morning for signatures and special notes from you.
