TLAP Quote of the Week
P is for Pirate
P IS FOR PIRATES
Pirates are daring, adventurous, and willing to sail into uncharted waters with no guarantee of success. They reject the status quo, embrace the unconventional, and steadfastly refuse to conform. They are risk-takers, rebels, and mavericks willing to travel to the ends of the earth for their educational treasure.
Proudly hoist the #tlap Jolly Roger and join the crew that's transforming education one classroom at a time.

Teacher of the Week~Thiele
I was born in Waco, the youngest of five children, and grew up in a very small town near there. After I married and had 3 children my husband took a job in Amarillo and we relocated to the Panhandle. While there I watched the wind blow and almost became convinced that rather than the bluebonnet, our state flower was a 4 foot tumbleweed. When my youngest son entered middle school I returned to college and earned a degree so I could teach school. After graduation from West Texas A & M University in Canyon, Texas I was hired to work in the Amarillo school district. The loss of my husband to a 22-month battle against cancer eventually led me move closer to family. I worked in Whitney for 2 years before moving to Midlothian. Now remarried to my husband Joseph, we are finding Midlothian a very pleasant place to call home.
My daughter, April, lives here with her two sons, Austin and Matthew. Brian, my oldest son, still lives in Amarillo with his wife and daughter, Tegan. Matthew, my youngest, lives in Round Rock with his wife and two daughters, Khloe and Rylee. I also have 3 stepsons and 5 step-grandchildren. In my spare time (Ha! I know…) I enjoy sewing, cross-stitching, reading, jigsaw puzzles, and sewing (especially quilts.) Most of all, I love spending time with my family.
Please remember to email your grade level meeting notes to Shannon and Stacee.
