We will be sending out a link, shortly, for you to view all the wonderful books that Scholastic has to offer. This year the books will be purchased online and they will be shipped directly to your home. Scholastic is offering free shipping on BOOK orders over $25. More information to come!
PTO General Fund
Thank you to all that have donated to the General Fund this year! We are excited to share pictures of the new Lafayette Courtyard, Bike Rack and Front Entrance Awning. All of these were made possible through donations like yours to the General Fund.
The suggested donation for this year is $100 but donations of any size are appreciated. If you would like to donate visit https://lafpto.square.site/
Lafayette School’s Broadcasting Club – Grade 5 ONLY
Students, do you want to help share the school news? Learn to create and narrate LAFAYETTE LIVE which is our daily video broadcast? Then the Broadcasting Club is for you!
Before signing up, here are a few things to think about:
~ This extra-curricular class is completely virtual.
~ Must be committed to completing the task by their assigned date
~ You must be able to work independently with the WeVideo editing program.
~ After your group is assigned you must be available to attend virtual meets with Mrs. Cifrodella to build the LAF Live morning announcements.
*Due to the high volume of student interest, we will be working with Grade 5 only using a lottery system to select students. Please look for an email confirmation if you are selected!
Click here to sign up. Please sign up by Tuesday, September 22nd.
Reporting Absences and Virtual Learning
Please use the Parent Portal to record your child's absences or to report that your child will be learning virtually for the day. This will allow us to mark the day according to their individual needs. If they choose not to connect with their teacher virtually, we will change their attendance at the close of the day.
Please do not leave any messages on the absentee line. This line is not monitored on a daily basis.
- Log into the Parent Portal
- Select the Attendance Tab
- Select Notify the Attendance Office Tab
- Use the drop-down selection to mark your child absent
- Enter date
- Choose student name
- State reason for the absence or virtual learning (i.e., current temp, any symptoms)
- Click green submit button to post attendance
